I’ve been waiting two years to paint my front door, and, for a change, I’m glad I didn’t get around to it right away. I’d settled on painting it cinnamon with olive trim, but then I discovered a paint kit that would give the door an aged copper look. Oh yeah.
It was impossible to paint the door in just one day; the primer alone took 12 hours to dry. So that the paint can set, the outdoor temperature must be above 55 degrees, and luckily our mild winter weather gave us several perfect days to complete the job. Gimme a fist bump, El Nino! Continue reading
