Strengthen your resolutions with this simple trick

You can have anything you wantBy Abby and Elle

When she said “You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it,” Edith Head may have been exaggerating, but we have a trick that can help give your aspirations a boost.

These days, we all need passwords for our online activity, and it’s typical that we key in a password or two (or more) every single day.  The trick we’ve been using for decades is to create passwords composed of something that we want or a positive mantra or even an expression of gratitude. For example, if we’re experiencing tumult in our life, we might start using a password such as SunnySkiesAhead. If we’re feeling grateful, we might use a password such as SurroundedByLove. If we’re struggling with an illness, we might change our password to IAmHealthy. When Elle was looking for a new home, she used the password NewHouse. For sites that require you to frequently change your password, you may want to keep your initial password and simply add a number to the end, such as NewHouse2.

While it may sound silly, the point is that you are keying in these passwords sometimes several times a day, and by repeating your intention, you are placing yourself in the right mindset and opening your heart to receive your wish or meet your goal. Using this method also encourages self-reflection and a better understanding of yourself and what you’re striving for.

Looking to get into shape? How about changing your password to IAmFit or FeelingStrong. Have a long mantra? Use just the first letters, such as TIMYTBFS for This Is My Year To Be Financially Smart, and know that it will have the same effect as using words because you’ll be saying the words in your head as you’re typing the letters. Express your daily gratitude with a password like LifeIsGood, or cope with stress with a password like JustBreathe.

According to Buddha, “All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.”

So if you’ve made a New Year’s resolution or simply want to increase positivity in your life, give it a try.  And for more positivity, be sure to check out the color of day, which gives you the corresponding color for the day based on the day’s planetary influence. Include that color in your outfit for an extra dose of luck and balance.

Thank you for reading, and please accept our wishes for a New Year filled with happiness, good health and nice surprises!
