I’m a hippie at heart, so I look forward every year to the Hessler Rd. Street Fair, Cleveland’s annual “hippie” fair, now in its 43rd year.
Spent Saturday afternoon there, noshing on hemp bars and falafel, visiting clothing and jewelry vendors and, of course, people watching. Came away with some uncommon finds (see below) but, more important, enjoyed the time with family. Nothing like a beautiful day in May on Hessler Road. Peace, man.

Hippie clothing: more than tie-dye

An enchanting fairy — performing art!

Funky! Love this creation from Rock Star Rehab

Ya gotta have music

You’re never too young to be a hippie

Show off your hippie with an official tee

Ice cream is a big draw, ‘specially on an 85 degree day!

Dress created by the vendor’s mom back in the 60s!

What I bought: Wrap skirt from the Mayan Connection ($35)

Love the rows of pineapples on the skirt!
